Well there were a lot of things going on in the last six months and the Wismec Reuleaux RX200 by JayBo was my vaping buddy throughout. As I’ve started dealing with all the inconveniences of furnishing the new apartment, one thing was consistent: the battery mod I was using. This is of course mainly because I had no time to go shop for another one and since the Reuleaux was sent to me as a gift, I stuck with it up to just a few days ago. Why? Read more to find out.
Box and presentation
When you get a look at the RX200’s cardboard box, you get a feel of the magnitude of this mod. However, as far as accessories are concerned, you don’t get much more than the mod in the package: a manual and a USB charging cable. The manual is quite exhaustive, however, with a lot of good information for people who did not own such a monstrosity before. It includes some battery safety info as well, which not many manufacturers include nowadays. Oh well, let’s go to the mod itself. That’s where the fun happens.
The Wismec Reuleaux: a rugged vaping companion
The RX200 is a 3 battery serial mod. I have three Sony VTC5’s in there and I have no problems with it. It used to output 200W with this firepower, but after a nice software upgrade, it can now reach 250W(!). I love it when companies actually stand by their word and release useful updates, don’t you?
Also, it differs from the other Reuleaux DNA200 by just a few things. The most important of them is the chip, which is made by Wismec this time and not outsourced from the DNA line. I have to be honest with you, I has skeptical at first, having all this wattage in my hand in a serial mod at that.
I have found, however, that the RX200’s chip stable and with no major gripes. If I were to nitpick, check this nifty bug on your Reuleaux: after locking your wattage, closing and powering up the mod throughout the day, you will see the wattage display go down 0.1W by 0.1W.
As you can see from the images, my mod did suffer a bit through the passing of time. Now, please bear in mind that I do take care of my mods and I do consider that the black paint at least chips out fairly easily.
The best part is that it works now just as well as it did in the first day. And besides maybe outright dropping it, I have moved it around in my backpack to work and back, took it to Italy on a flight for a short vacation and also vaped consistently throughout this time on this mod alone, in combination with my GeekVape Avocado 24.
If you’re interested in seeing where all the buttons are, I’ve included a picture from Wismec that shows where all the points of interest are located below.
This seems to be the best form factor that you could fit three 18650 batteries in. The battery cover is magnetic and quite sturdy. The chassis also looks like it provides a lot of breathing room for them as well. I have not encountered any problems with the cover falling or even moving away from its designated space. Those magnets are really strong!
Apart from painted metal, it also has a rubberized coating on one side as well which helps with gripping this monster. I keep saying it’s a monster and you might not believe me, but here’s how it looks in my hand.. and I have big hands while standing at more than 6 feet tall. I can’t even fully grip it!
As I’ve mentioned before, the performance is stellar. Never had a problem with the mod itself and the batteries and tanks I have used on it. The Wismec Reuleaux provided me with days (yes days) of vaping. It’s an outstanding experience that I recommend any vaper to try out. I do agree however that those batteries have to be charged outside the mod. If there’s anything wrong with them, the RX200 will let you know through the various protections they have built in. The scary one is the “imbalanced” battery notification, which means that they are unevenly charged.

I’ve had a great time with the RX200 and I don’t regret one bit! But all in all, it’s way to big of a brick for me. I’m one of those that enjoys some stealth vaping and the mod is way too big for this. I will miss the massive battery time and the great chip however.
